Do it now: Cover letter generator→When it matters
When the form asks for one, when you are changing careers or countries, when you know someone at the company, and for smaller companies where a person reads every application. For large tech companies it is usually skipped; keep it short regardless.
Four paragraphs, 180–250 words
1. Why this company and role, specifically — one thing you noticed. 2. The one achievement that most resembles this job, with a number. 3. One more strength the posting asks for, with evidence. 4. A plain close: you would welcome a conversation, and thanks.
No address block, no 'To whom it may concern', no restating your resume.
Let the tool draft it
Paste your resume and the job description into the cover-letter generator. It writes a draft using only facts from your resume. Edit the first paragraph so it sounds like you, then send.
Questions people ask
Should a cover letter repeat my resume?
No. It should tell the story the resume cannot: why this role, and which one or two experiences matter most for it.
Is AI-written fine?
As a draft, yes. Recruiters notice generic AI text, so edit the opening and keep every claim true to your resume.
