How it works

  1. 1. Pick a role and level

We suggest one from your profile, or practise for a specific job you found on JobRipe.

  2. 2. Answer 5 questions

A mix of behavioural, role-specific and situational questions. Type your answer, or dictate it where your browser supports it.

  3. 3. Get feedback on each one

A score out of 100, what worked, what to improve, and an outline of a stronger answer.

  4. 4. See your progress

Finish for an overall score and your top 3 things to work on. Past sessions stay in your history.

Questions about interview practice

Is it free?

Yes. Free accounts get 3 practice interviews a week, and the allowance resets every Monday. Pro members can practise as often as they like.

What kind of questions will I get?

Five questions per session: behavioural questions about your past experience, questions specific to the role, and a situational 'what would you do' question. They're pitched at the level you choose: entry, mid or senior.

How is my answer scored?

Usually by AI, which looks at whether you answered the question, how clearly you structured it, and whether you showed what you did and what happened. If AI isn't available at that moment, you get feedback from automatic checks instead (length, STAR structure, numbers, first-person actions and filler words), and we label it so you always know which one you got.

What is the STAR method?

A simple way to structure answers about past experience: Situation (the context), Task (what you were responsible for), Action (what you did yourself) and Result (what changed, ideally with a number). Most interviewers listen for it.

Can I speak my answers instead of typing?

Yes, in browsers with built-in speech recognition (such as Chrome, Edge and Safari) you'll see a Dictate button. Your speech is turned into text by your browser, and you can edit it before asking for feedback.

Who can see my answers?

Only you. Practice sessions aren't shown to recruiters or employers, and you can delete any session from your history. Questions? Email support@jobripe.com.
