Editorial policy
How we write and check the guides and blog, where the job data comes from and how it is labelled, and how AI is used on JobRipe.
Guides and blog posts
- Guides and blog posts are written and reviewed by the JobRipe team. We don't publish articles under invented author names or credit outside experts who weren't involved.
- Facts about visas, work permits, registration, tax and labour rules are checked against official sources, such as government immigration portals, regulators and ministries. Where an article relies on those sources, it lists them under a Sources heading with links to the official pages.
- We don't invent statistics. Figures on the site either come from our own live job data, with the date they were counted, or from a named source. When we don't have a reliable number, we say so instead of guessing.
- Rules change often, so articles describe how things work in general terms and point to the official page for current thresholds, fees and dates. Each guide and post shows the date it was last reviewed.
- Articles are general information, not legal, immigration or financial advice.
Corrections
- If you spot a mistake or something out of date, email support@jobripe.com with the page link. We check every report, correct errors, and update the "Last reviewed" date when we do.
How job data is sourced and labelled
- Jobs from employers' own hiring systems (the systems behind their careers pages) carry a Verified badge. They are re-checked against the employer's system on every sync and removed when the employer closes them.
- Jobs from public job boards and government job services are labelled with the board's name on every card and job page, are never called verified, and you apply on the board. They are kept out of search engines, as their providers require.
- Every listing is scanned for the patterns of fake job offers, such as fees, chat-app-only recruiters and implausible pay; listings that fail are hidden. Old, repeatedly re-posted roles are marked so you can judge them.
- Figures on landing pages (job counts, top employers, typical pay) are counted from the open jobs in our database on the date shown. Pay figures appear only when enough postings publish a pay range, and pages with too little data say so.
- Closed jobs stay viewable for a while with a clear 'closed' note and open jobs like them; jobs closed for more than 60 days are removed.
How AI is used on the site, and its limits
- Job match scores are calculated by fixed rules, not by an AI model: they compare a job's title, field, skills, level, location, visa and pay details with your profile. See how AI job matching works for the details.
- AI (a large language model) is used where you ask for help with your own material: reading a resume you upload, tailoring a resume or cover letter, interview practice and feedback, career path suggestions, grading a job ad, understanding unusual search phrases, and the help assistant. Most of these have a basic rule-based version when AI is unavailable.
- AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything it writes for you before you send it, and never let it add skills or experience you don't have.
- AI doesn't write or change the job listings we bring in from employers and job boards, and it doesn't decide which jobs are verified: that depends only on where a job came from.
