About Versapay
Versapay’s Accounts Receivable Efficiency Suite automates invoicing, streamlines B2B payments, and applies AI to cash application and exception management. Our platform integrates natively with leading ERPs and enables businesses to collaborate seamlessly with their customers through a self-serve payment portal. Backed by Great Hill Partners, Versapay operates across the U.S. and Canada and processes approximately $257B in annual payment volume.
The Opportunity
B2B payments and receivables remain burdened by manual processes, fragmented systems, and unnecessary friction—costing businesses' time, capital, and growth. Versapay is transforming how businesses invoice, collect, and collaborate by delivering the industry’s first accounts receivable network, connecting buyers and sellers in a unified digital experience.
As a market leader serving over 10,000 customers and nearly five million businesses, Versapay is building the future of B2B payments—one that is automated, intelligent, and network-driven. This role offers the opportunity to shape that future by building and scaling a world-class partner ecosystem that accelerates revenue, expands market reach, and strengthens our platform.
The Role
Versapay is seeking a Head of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances to define, build, and scale our global partnership ecosystem. This executive-level leader will own strategy and execution across ERP and technology partners, financial institutions, value‑added resellers, system integrators, and indirect channels.
Reporting into the C-suite, this role carries significant visibility and cross‑functional influence, with direct accountability for partner‑driven pipeline, revenue impact, and long‑term platform expansion. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational rigor and brings a systems-oriented mindset to building high‑value, durable partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Strategy & Ecosystem Design: Define and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy spanning ERP providers, fintech platforms, financial institutions, VARs, ISVs and indirect channels, aligned to Versapay’s growth objectives.
Revenue & Pipeline Ownership: Drive measurable pipeline creation and revenue contribution through co‑sell, embedded finance, white‑label, and channel motions—from partner identification through commercial execution and onboarding.
Executive Partner Management: Own senior relationships with strategic partners, leading complex negotiations, structuring innovative commercial models, and setting joint success metrics.
Cross‑Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Risk, and Legal to ensure partnerships are scalable, compliant, differentiated, and tightly integrated into go‑to‑market execution.
Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing partnerships organization with clear accountability, operating cadence, and performance metrics.
Market & Technology Insight: Stay ahead of trends in B2B payments, embedded finance, ERP ecosystems, and AI‑enabled workflows to inform partnership strategy and product direction.
AI‑Enabled Growth: Identify opportunities to responsibly leverage AI and data‑driven insights to accelerate partner sourcing, enablement, and performance—while ensuring compliance with data privacy and sharing regulations.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, or business development within SaaS, payments, fintech, or adjacent enterprise technology sectors.
Proven success building ERP, financial institution, ISV, VAR, or channel partnerships that materially impact ARR and market expansion.
Deep understanding of B2B payments, ERP ecosystems, and indirect go‑to‑market models.
Demonstrated ability to design partnership strategies end‑to‑end, including partner selection, commercial negotiation, enablement, and performance measurement.
A systems thinker with the ability to co‑design products, services, and commercial models with partners.
Strong executive presence with advanced negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
Experience operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with a metric‐driven approach to execution.
Knowledge of data‑sharing regulations and a strong point of view on how AI/ML can be applied responsibly to accelerate partnership outcomes.
