This is a performance-focused creative role for a growing direct-to-consumer brand in the running and fitness space. You’ll turn real advertising performance data into compelling video concepts, scripts, and creative variations designed to drive conversions. Your work will primarily support Facebook and Instagram advertising, with a strong emphasis on founder-style, UGC, and AI-generated video formats. You’ll study winning hooks, angles, messaging, and creative patterns to understand why they work and develop new iterations from those insights. The role combines persuasive copywriting, creative strategy, data analysis, and high-volume production in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with a remote creative and performance team, using Slack to collaborate, share briefs, and continuously improve creative output.
Write approximately 100 video ad scripts per month initially, with the opportunity to scale production toward approximately 200 scripts per month.
Develop high-converting 60–90 second founder-style video scripts that clearly communicate customer problems, product benefits, differentiation, and reasons to take action.
Write short-form scripts designed for creators filming authentic, phone-based content.
Develop scripts and concepts specifically suited to AI-generated video formats.
Analyze weekly advertising performance to identify the hooks, angles, messages, structures, and creative approaches that are driving results.
Translate performance insights into new creative concepts and high-quality script variations.
Adapt winning ads, hooks, and messaging into multiple iterations while keeping each version fresh, engaging, and strategically differentiated.
Write persuasive, direct-response copy that captures attention quickly and moves viewers toward action.
Create simple visual directions and production notes for each script to help creators and editors execute the concepts effectively.
Collaborate closely with the creative and performance teams through Slack to review ideas, incorporate feedback, and continuously improve output.
Use a test-and-learn approach to creative development, continuously refining messaging based on real performance data.
Maintain a high level of quality, originality, and strategic thinking while working at significant creative volume.
Excellent written English with a strong command of tone, structure, storytelling, persuasion, and direct-response copywriting.
Previous experience writing performance marketing, direct-response, social media, or video advertising copy.
Strong understanding of what makes video advertising engaging, persuasive, and conversion-focused.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong hooks, angles, calls to action, and messaging frameworks.
Ability to analyze advertising performance and extract actionable creative insights from spreadsheets and performance data.
Comfortable using performance evidence to guide creative decisions and develop new iterations of successful concepts.
Ability to produce a high volume of quality creative work without compromising strategic thinking, originality, or writing quality.
Strong understanding of iterative creative testing and the relationship between messaging and advertising performance.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver consistently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in asynchronous digital environments.
Experience with DTC or eCommerce brands is preferred.
Experience with Meta/Facebook and Instagram advertising is preferred.
Experience writing UGC, creator-led, or AI-generated video scripts is a plus.
Experience in running, fitness, nutrition, food, wellness, or other consumer-focused categories is a plus.
Compensation: Up to $4,000 USD per month, depending on experience.
