Job Details:Job Description:
Intel is one of the world's leading semiconductor companies, driving innovation that powers the devices, networks, and cloud infrastructure that billions of people rely on every day. Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS) is at the forefront of building the world's largest and most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities across the globe. With a commitment to technical excellence, safety, and innovation, Intel is shaping the future of technology — and we want you to be part of it.
As a Tool Equipment Install Technician, you will be a vital individual contributor within Intel's Project Execution Team, supporting the construction and commissioning of cutting-edge wafer fabrication facilities. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role that sits at the intersection of engineering, construction, and semiconductor manufacturing. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex challenges, and take pride in building things that matter — this is the opportunity for you.
This is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 12 months, with the potential for extension subject to the approval of both parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all structures and systems are built to specification and design intent.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Perform accurate measurements and calculations to minimize errors, reduce rework, and maintain project quality standards.
- Tool Handling: Safely and efficiently operate a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment in compliance with site safety protocols.
- Material Knowledge: Identify and select appropriate materials based on their properties to ensure durability, compliance, and suitability for specific tasks.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve unexpected on-site challenges quickly and effectively to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
- Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, including planning, execution, and progress monitoring across installation phases.
- Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
- Lean Principles: Apply lean methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure safe operations from construction through commissioning.
- Safety Leadership: Build and actively promote a Culture of Care across all work environments — from office settings to active construction sites — throughout every phase of the project lifecycle.
As a successful candidate, you must possess
- Communication: You ask the right questions, express ideas proactively, and articulate your thoughts clearly — both verbally and in writing.
- Collaboration: You are a dependable team player who works harmoniously with project managers, engineers, and construction crews alike.
- Time Management: You are punctual, focused, and driven to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Organization: You prioritize tasks effectively, maintain accurate records, and ensure materials and tools are properly managed.
- Creative Problem-Solving: You think outside the box and bring logical, innovative solutions to unique and complex workplace challenges.
- Safety Mindset: You champion and embody a culture of safety and care at every stage of the project — because everyone goes home safe.
