Strategy & Operations Associate

We are a team of consultants solving a familiar problem: how do you earn credibility with a client? We believe it starts with understanding the client’s industry.

Modern business has become the Tower of Babel: every industry has its own language. If you speak your client's language, you connect and find a way in. And if you don’t, you’re flying blind with a surface-level understanding. Companies spend millions on dull, slow, and unscalable solutions. The traditional go-tos – SMEs, in-house content, and live training – aren’t working.

We created a new way to learn an industry in under an hour (imagine the “I know kung fu” scene from The Matrix, but for business), using fun animated stories produced like a media product. Our primers are widely used by the world's top consulting and technology firms, with 90%+ completion rates, rave reviews, and hundreds of deals won and projects delivered.

Primerli is scaling fast, which means every process we have is up for a rethink. We are on a transformation journey to AI-native ways of working, which makes this a genuinely exciting time to join. If you're curious, resourceful, and ready to roll up your sleeves and make things happen, this role is for you.

The Role

This role works with every team in the business. You will report to the Head of Operations and support Sales, Customer Success, and Product.

Your first job is to keep the engine running: product delivery, client onboarding, data reporting, and admin processes. But there’s more to it - you’ll reinvent how we get work done alongside AI agents, and write the playbook for how Primerli operates. And when strategic problems pop up, you’ll help us crack them.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who enjoys moving between strategy and execution, would rather solve problems than follow a checklist, and wants to learn how an AI-native company works.

About Primerli

Primerli is a bootstrapped, early stage start-up that created the first and only engaging way to learn an industry in under an hour. We serve over 2 million professionals at global enterprises including MBB, Big Four, Google, and Microsoft. Get a feel for it yourself – check out our sample videos on YouTube:.

We are a small team with big ambitions. Many of us came from consulting backgrounds and joined Primerli because we wanted to move beyond advising to building. At a company of our size, you will get real ownership early, work closely with leadership, and help drive the direction of the business. If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact and grow alongside the company, this is the kind of role where that can happen.

What You'll Do

Mandate

Keep Primerli running smoothly and efficiently, and work cross-functionally to solve the company’s most important problems.

Responsibilities

Business Operations (50%)

• Own the recurring workflows that keep clients happy: onboarding, course delivery, NASBA compliance

• Build dashboards and reporting to track business health and product usage

• Help key enterprise clients troubleshoot technical issues

Problem Solving (40%)

• Turn the workflows you run into AI agents and automations, then keep making them better

• Help shape how all of Primerli uses AI: shared tools, workflows, and a company knowledge base

SpecialProjects (10%)

• Contribute to projects that shape how Primerli operates and scales (e.g., analyze build vs. partner options for technology investments)

What We're Looking For

Values & Attitude

• High agency and ownership: You don't wait to be told. You spot problems nobody assigned to you, grab them, and follow through without reminders.

• Low ego, growth mindset: You ask for feedback, take it well, and act on it. The best idea wins, even when it isn't yours.

• Strong values: You care about others, not just yourself, and you see competitiveness as complementary, not a barrier, to showing compassion, kindness, and empathy.

• Get-stuff-done attitude: You are energized by action, and can balance priorities and timelines. You know when to be fast and scrappy and when to slow down and get things right.‍

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

• Experience building with AI tools

• Client-facing experience (consulting club or internship counts)

• Strong analytical skills and data fluency

• Clear and professional written communication

Nice-to-have

• Experience working in a high-growth environment

• 1-2 years of management consulting experience at a top-tier firm

• Interest in learning, teaching, or education

What You'll Get

• Competitive salary: $100-150k base, plus bonus

• Medical and dental health coverage

• 401k contributions and profit sharing

• PTO and paid leave for parents

Location and Work Environment

While the company is based in California, you will work remotely with a global team. We are open to candidates based in the United States and Canada. Candidates must be comfortable working with colleagues in different time zones and traveling up to 10% of the time to co-locate with the team.
