Staff Engineer – Product & Tech to Lendo

Shape the technical direction at Lendo – and help build the future of our Product & Tech organization.

Do you want to shape technology and engineering practices across an entire organization? As Staff Engineer at Lendo, you will play a key role in driving technical direction, architecture and engineering excellence across Product & Tech.

The Opportunity

• You get real influence over technology and the future of Lendo’s Product & Tech organization.
• You will collaborate with senior decision-makers as part of the Product & Tech leadership team.
• Lendo combines a modern technical environment with an ambitious product and technology roadmap.
• Your impact will go beyond writing code – you will shape architecture, technical standards and how engineering teams evolve.
• You will join Lendo at an exciting time, with new products and exciting product initiatives ahead.

Your Challenge

As Staff Engineer, you will be part of the Product & Tech leadership team, working closely with Engineering Managers, the Head of Technology and other key stakeholders to drive technical direction across Product & Tech. You will act as a trusted technical advisor across our engineering organization, helping teams make sound technical decisions while staying connected to hands-on engineering and solving complex challenges.

You will:

• Own and evolve Lendo´s technical strategy, architecture and engineering standards.
• Set technical direction across multiple agile teams and create alignment around architecture and ways of working.
• Facilitate our Tech Lead forum and drive cross-team technical initiatives.
• Work with Product from an early stage to turn business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Stay hands-on when needed through coding, prototyping and technical problem-solving.
• Mentor engineers and act as a technical sounding board across backend and frontend.
• Participate in technical skills assessments of engineers, helping ensure a consistent and high technical standard across the organization.
• Support teams in areas such as resilience, security, operational risk and major technical incidents.
• Work closely with our Data/ML team and explore how AI and modern technologies can create business value.

The Team and Workplace

The environment is modern, product-driven and forward-looking, with several new products and initiatives on the roadmap. This means you get the opportunity to shape emerging areas and influence how technology evolves, rather than following an established path.

The role sits close to the wider Product & Tech leadership, rather than being limited to one individual development team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and help shape decisions across the entire technology organization.

About You

We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong architectural mindset who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing others through technical expertise rather than formal authority.

You have:

• Extensive experience in software engineering, architecture or a similar senior technical role.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture and experience working across multiple teams.
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally GCP, and technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with or a strong understanding of Golang, TypeScript and/or React.
• The ability to move comfortably between strategic technical discussions and hands-on engineering.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to turn complex technical topics into clear decisions and actions.
• A pragmatic approach to balancing technical quality, business value and speed.
• A genuine interest in AI and modern technology.

Experience from a regulated or high-trust environment and/or working closely with Data/ML teams is a plus.

Most importantly, you are curious, collaborative and pragmatic. You take ownership, challenge existing solutions when needed and enjoy helping both people and technology move forward.
