About the Team
The Workday Extend Consulting team, part of Workday’s EMEA Services organization, is dedicated to implementing custom business applications, agents, and orchestrations on top of the Workday platform. We help customers solve unique business challenges by extending core HCM and Financials and, increasingly, by building intelligent, agentic experiences that feel native to Workday.
We value career growth, learning, and collaboration. We work in an agile way, staying close to our customers for fast feedback and focusing on the business value our solutions deliver. With the introduction of Developer Agent as part of Extend Professional, our team is at the forefront of how professional developers build apps and agents across the full Workday Build stack using natural language and modern AI-assisted tooling.
About the Role
As a Senior Workday Extend Consultant, you will lead the design and delivery of solutions using Workday Extend and Developer Agent for EMEA customers.
You will work directly with business and IT stakeholders to:
Discover and shape requirements.
Design architectures that combine Extend apps, agents, orchestrations, and integrations.
Build and iterate on solutions, using Developer Agent and IDE plug-ins to accelerate development.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor on how customers should adopt Extend, Developer Agent, and related AI capabilities safely and effectively.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with strong technical depth and plenty of room for thought leadership across EMEA.
What you’ll do
Run discovery and design workshops to understand business processes and identify where Workday Extend apps with embedded AI experiences can add value (for example, conversational assistance and intelligent recommendations) within the app experience.
Use generative coding tools such as Cursor and Workday’s Developer Agent to generate, refine, and refactor application artifacts from natural language descriptions.
Define and implement integrations and data flows using modern API patterns (REST, Graph APIs, and, where needed, SOAP via orchestrations).
Lead technical workstreams, review designs from other consultants/partners, and promote best practices and reusable patterns.
Mentor colleagues in Extend and AI-assisted development and feed implementation learnings back to product and engineering teams.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security. Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers.
Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not.
In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.
