Senior Technical Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking our new Senior Technical Project Manager to join the SBS team!

This is more than a job. It’s a chance to build, grow, and make a real impact! Help us build lasting client relationships and shape how our clients experience delivery by joining our team as our new Project Manager for Specialized Finance services.

We need a Project Manager who is, first and foremost, a strong client partner - someone who owns the relationship through the full lifecycle of delivery, not just the plan. You'll deliver cloud migrations, software upgrades, and implementations for our clients, working hand in hand with our Product organization to secure commitments and protect the client relationship long term. If you thrive on being the person a client trusts to tell them the truth, hold a room together under pressure, and deliver without cutting corners with a one-off fix, we would love to hear from you.

Location: United States

Remote: U.S. Based Candidates Only

Responsibilities

What will the role involve?

• Owning the client relationship across the full lifecycle of delivery, from initial engagement through go-live and into steady state, ensuring the client's trust in us is protected even when delivery gets difficult
• Leading and delivering technology projects across cloud migrations, software upgrades, and implementations
• Management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Working directly with clients to scope, plan, and deliver solutions that meet their business needs, and being the first point of contact when things go wrong, not just when things go well
• Managing risks, budget, scope, and timeline with real accountability for outcomes, not just reporting on them
• Collaborating closely with our Product organization to secure delivery through standard, product-led solutions
• Balancing the client's immediate ask against the long-term health of the relationship and the product roadmap
• Leading joint steering committees, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making at senior client level
• Identifying opportunities to improve our project management craft competency
• Support the pre-sales process as needed (assist with RFI/RFP, Proposal, SoW, etc.)

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Experience delivering external client projects in a supplier/vendor environment - essential
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields required
• Demonstrable experience owning a client relationship through complex delivery - not just running the plan, but holding the relationship together when things slip
• Strong stakeholder and executive-level communication skills, particularly in escalation and difficult conversation scenarios
• 5+ years of proven experience in project management and delivery in the IT sector
• Knowledge of cloud migrations, software upgrades, and implementations
• Proficiency in escalation management & resolving delivery challenges effectively
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) preferred
• Experience with different project methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
• Ability to travel and work away at customer sites where required
• Financial services or regulatory environment experience? Even better!
