Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Backend Software Engineer to join a team running a production application deployed across multiple AWS regions for high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery.

You’ll work directly in the codebase, troubleshoot application and deployment issues, and contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployments, collaborating closely with the Tech Lead and DevOps/infrastructure teams. This is a development role, not an SRE role. You’ll work within the existing architecture, so you won’t be asked to design or own the multi-region strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production applications running in a multi-region AWS environment
  ● Contribute to application deployments across multiple AWS regions
  ● Troubleshoot application and deployment issues
  ● Work with DevOps/infrastructure teams to support reliable deployments

● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines

• Work with containerized/cloud-native applications
  ● Support application availability, resiliency and disaster recovery requirements
  ● Investigate issues across application and cloud environments
  ● Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead on technical decisions
  ● Contribute to, but not own, the broader multi-region architecture

Key Requirements

• Hands-on experience in real-world multi-region AWS environments (the same application running in two or more regions)
  ● Experience operating, troubleshooting, or supporting multi-region applications for high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery
  ● Strong software development experience in Go, Python, and Node.js

● Production application experience

• Ability to troubleshoot application issues and work directly in the codebase
  ● Comfort collaborating with infrastructure/DevOps teams
  ● Hands-on AWS experience with cloud-native applications and production environments
  ● Understanding of how applications are deployed and operated across regions
  ● Strong DevOps exposure: CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud deployments, containers/orchestration, deployment troubleshooting

What We Offer

At Jobsity, we know that a positive professional experience goes beyond the role itself.

Depending on the position, client, country, and type of contract, professionals may have access to different benefits, programs, and resources designed to support their well-being, development, and remote-work experience.

These may include:

● Paid time off or vacation days

• Paid holidays, depending on the client and country
• Professional development and learning opportunities
• Ongoing support from our People Experience team
• Recognition initiatives and internal activities

● Remote-work flexibility

• Opportunities to collaborate with international teams
• Access to tools and resources that support your work
• Career growth opportunities based on performance, business needs, and available roles

Because each opportunity is different, the specific benefits associated with a position will always be communicated during the recruitment process.
