We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Lecturer in Architectural Technology to join our vibrant academic community at the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP) at our beautiful St Lucia campus.
Shape the future of architecture and digital design at UQ and be part of a university consistently ranked in the world’s top 40. This exciting new role combines industry expertise with teaching, research and collaboration to inspire future design leaders and drive innovation.
You will play a key role in advancing architectural technology, digital design, sustainability and AI across UQ's teaching and research programs. Collaborating with colleagues and industry, you will help equip graduates to tackle future built environment challenges.
We welcome applicants who may prefer a different service fraction—please indicate your preferred arrangement in your cover letter. Flexible options, including job share, may be considered to accommodate the right candidate. If you are ready to make your mark in a world-class institution that invests in its people and their potential, we would love to hear from you.

This is expected to happen through leading design studios that connect deep architectural theory with computation, fabrication, performance and material experimentation.
Lead impactful research – Build a strong research profile, publish in leading international journals, and secure funding to drive change across the built environment sector and in collaboration with other sectors/disciplines.
Drive technological innovation – Advance the School's strategic priorities in architectural technology by developing and integrating digital design methodologies, computational design, building performance analysis, digital fabrication, AI-assisted design, sustainable construction, and emerging technologies into teaching, research and industry engagement. In doing so, the successful candidate is expected to develop and critically evaluate bespoke AI and computational tools, rather than only the use of existing platforms.
This is a teaching & research position. Further information can be found by viewing UQ’s Criteria for Academic Performance.
