Role Summary
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the team building the region's leading property marketplace. You'll work on high-traffic, consumer-facing products, from the Next.js web experience to the services behind it, where latency, reliability and cost efficiency directly shape the experience of millions of buyers, renters and agents.
This is a hands-on senior role. You'll design and own features and services end to end across frontend and backend, influence architecture beyond your immediate squad, and raise the engineering bar for the people around you.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and operate the web experiences and backend services that power core marketplace experiences
Own your work end to end across the stack: technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration based on production data
Build fast, accessible and SEO-friendly user-facing features in React and Next.js, using the right rendering and caching strategy for each page (SSR, static generation, client-side)
Build new services and features primarily in TypeScript (Node.js), while supporting and evolving our existing Go services
Work with product managers, designers and mobile engineers to turn requirements into well-architected, maintainable systems and polished user experiences
Drive operational excellence on both server and client: monitoring, alerting, real-user monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of reliability and performance
Mentor other engineers, review designs and pull requests thoroughly, and contribute to frontend and backend standards and best practices
Desired Experience
6+ years of software engineering experience across frontend and backend, with significant time on high-traffic, consumer-facing systems
Strong proficiency in TypeScript on both the backend (Node.js), which is the primary language for all new services and features, and the frontend Strong production experience with React and Next.js, including server-side rendering, data fetching and caching, and web performance (Core Web Vitals)
Working proficiency in Go, or the ability to ramp up quickly.
Our existing production services are written in Go, and you'll maintain and evolve them alongside new development Solid experience designing and operating microservices: API design (REST/gRPC), service boundaries, versioning, and inter-service communication patterns Production experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache or equivalents) and containerised deployments on Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with data stores and search: relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and Redis, including schema design, indexing strategy and query performance tuning
Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing (Kafka, SQS or similar) Strong grounding in observability and reliability: metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, SLOs and incident management
Nice to have
Experience integrating AI/LLM-backed features into production services (e.g. AWS Bedrock, prompt-serving infrastructure, latency and cost optimisation for model calls)
Experience with edge computing (Lambda@Edge, CDN-level logic) and multi-region considerations
Experience with frontend tooling at scale: monorepos (e.g. Turborepo), design systems, and frontend testing (Jest, Playwright) Experience with SEO-critical web applications, internationalisation and right-to-left (Arabic) layouts
Exposure to billing/subscription systems, identity platforms, or geospatial/location data Experience in marketplace, classifieds, or other two-sided platform products
How You Work
You take ownership beyond your ticket: you notice problems, propose solutions and follow through
You communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and back your arguments with data
You hold a high bar in code review and design review, and you make the engineers around you better
You're pragmatic: you know when to build for scale and when to ship the simple thing, and you can quantify the cost of both
At Property Finder, we believe talent thrives in an environment where you can be your best self. Where you are empowered to create, elevate, grow, and care. Our team is made up of the best and brightest, united by a shared ambition to change living for good in the region. We attract top talent who want to make an impact. We firmly believe that when our people grow, we all succeed.
