We’re looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Central Automation team in Helsinki and help shape the next generation of engineering tools across Supercell.
You’ll work alongside our Automation team to improve the systems hundreds of automated tests rely on every day, build infrastructure that game teams trust, and explore how AI can remove friction from development, testing, and releasing games. Your work won’t belong to a single title or technology, it will influence how multiple game teams build and ship products every day.
If you enjoy solving hard engineering problems, building platforms other developers love to use, and experimenting with new technologies before they become industry standard, we’d love to meet you.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how engineers across Supercell build, test, and ship games.
Rather than maintaining a single automation framework, you’ll help define the future of engineering productivity, from modern CI systems and scalable automation infrastructure to AI-powered developer workflows. If you enjoy building platforms, solving hard technical problems, and enabling others to do their best work, you’ll fit right in.
We partner closely with game teams to understand what slows them down and build tools that help them move faster without sacrificing confidence. Rather than owning one product, we own the developer experience around automation.
What You'll Do
Design and evolve the automation infrastructure used across Supercell.
Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of our automation platforms.
Build tools that help developers test, debug, and release with confidence.
Partner closely with game teams to solve real engineering problems rather than hypothetical ones.
Help define how AI can improve automation, testing, debugging, reporting, and developer productivity.
Reduce flaky tests, improve feedback loops, and increase trust in automation.
Take ownership of services and infrastructure that other engineers rely on every day.
Continuously improve the developer experience across our engineering ecosystem.
We are looking for someone who
Has built and operated automation platforms or infrastructure at scale.
Has strong C++ experience as well as Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
Has experience with AI-assisted engineering, including test generation, failure classification, log analysis, or developer productivity tooling.
Has hands-on experience with areas like mobile automation, device farms, CI/CD, job orchestration, infrastructure, or developer tooling.
Enjoys working across teams, understanding different perspectives, and solving problems collaboratively.
Takes ownership, enjoys ambiguity, and is comfortable figuring things out without waiting for detailed instructions.
Understands that great automation is as much about reliability and usability as it is about writing tests.
Wants to build platforms that make hundreds of other engineers more productive.
Would Be Nice if You Also Have
Experience with full-stack development with TypeScript and Java
Experience with Android and/or iOS development.
Deep knowledge of mobile automation frameworks and supporting infrastructure.
Experience operating large-scale device farms.
Experience working in game development or mobile gaming.

About Supercell
Supercell is a games company from Helsinki, Finland, with offices also in San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, and London. You might know us as the makers of Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars. Our mission is to create great games that as many people as possible play for years and that are remembered forever.
So, how do we make great games? By putting together the best teams and giving them the freedom and independence to succeed. And by taking risks, failing, sharing learnings, and killing lots of projects.
Hey, You Might Love It Here!
Independent cells and trust are at the core of our culture. But it takes more than that to make great games. We take good care of our people, providing them with the compensation, work environment, and resources they need to succeed while having fun along the way.
You Are Not Your Job Title ™
Here, you won’t need to focus on chasing titles or climbing ladders. Internally, our job titles don’t include prefixes like Senior, Junior, Principal, or Director. Recognition isn’t tied to your title, as it doesn't define the impact you can have around here.
Benefits and Compensation
Luring you in with glitter, glamour, and gems isn't what we're about. We want you to enjoy your time here fully, so we structure our compensation and benefits with that in mind. It starts with perceiving you as a human being, not a resource.
Relocation? Yes!
No matter where you’re moving from, our dedicated mobility team and partners will support you throughout your move. We’ll ensure the process is as smooth as possible for you and anyone joining you – whether they’re family members of the human or animal kind!
Not Sure if You Should Apply?
Many candidates with great skills and experience second-guess themselves. The bar is high, but if this role excites you, apply! We’re here to help you succeed. Also, we're happy to learn about any specific accommodations you may need to fully engage in our recruitment process.
Wishing you all the best,
The Supercell Recruitment team
