About the role
This is a remote position.
- Software vendors use CloudLabs for product demos, POCs, customer/partner training and enablement.
- Enterprises & system integrators use it to upskill teams and run hackathons.
- Universities, EdTech companies, and Microsoft and AWS partners use it for courses, certifications, and training delivery.
- Understand audience problems & behavior across our buyers (ISV marketers, enablement and training leads, solution engineers, educators) and match content to their buying stage.
- Write and edit long-form content: blogs, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, ebooks, and landing pages. Work with our presales & solution engineers to get technical topics right.
- Ideate & execute content in line with our brand narrative, product capabilities, and market positioning.
- Use AI to set up workflows that speed up briefs, drafts, and edits. A human edit stays on everything that ships.
- Run keyword research and turn it into content briefs, on-page optimization, and internal links.
- Find keywords, topic clusters, and content gaps through industry and competitor analysis. Build clusters around our use cases: demos and POCs, workshops, training labs, cloud sandboxes.
- Optimize existing posts that have potential but underperform, for rankings, visibility in AI answers (GEO), and conversions.
- Flag technical SEO issues that hurt visibility, such as indexing, crawlability, page speed, broken links, duplicate content, and canonical tags. Work with the web team to fix them.
- Repurpose content into multiple formats and help teammates distribute it across social media, newsletters, sales emails, and more (e.g., blog → LinkedIn carousel → email snippet → AI video).
- Plan distribution from the ideation phase. Set a distribution plan and a goal for each piece you publish.
- Track performance metrics (SERP rankings, CTR, traffic, MQLs, engagement) and refine content based on what the data shows. Set up dashboards for organic traffic and content attribution with the SEO person.
- You won't carry this on day one. You'll start contributing around month 6 and take on more over time.
- Plan the content calendar with your manager, monthly at first and then quarterly, in line with inbound goals, product launches, and market trends.
- Write content briefs for freelancers and other writers to execute.
- Break organic pipeline targets into short-term and long-term content goals, and balance ToFu, MoFu, and BoFu content in the monthly plan.
- Diagnose the organic funnel to find bottlenecks between search visit, MQL, and pipeline, and propose fixes.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in content writing, preferably in B2B SaaS, cloud, or technical content.
- A portfolio of published long-form work (blogs, case studies, guides) that shows range and strong editing
- Exceptional copywriting & creative writing skills.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush or Ahrefs, or any other SEO tool.
- A working grasp of SEO & GEO fundamentals: keyword research, on-page, internal linking.
- Ability to structure thoughts, communicate clearly, & make compelling pitches to convince stakeholders about your decisions.
- Be detail-oriented, analytical, and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to come up with hypotheses, experiments & reason out the results.
- Comfort with technical topics (cloud, DevOps, training & enablement), or the curiosity to learn them fast.
- Experience writing content briefs or working with freelancers.
- Interest in moving into content strategy.
- A strong bias for action in executing tasks.
- High agency & ownership in delivering results.
- A genuine curiosity about SaaS, SaaS products, & marketing.
- A flair for copywriting & passion for unconventional creative expression.

- Write and publish 1 or 2 blogs.
- Get familiar with our tools.
- Get to know the team. Schedule a 1-1 with as many members across functions as you can, including solution engineering, to learn how we work and how the product works.

- Contribute topic ideas backed by SEO research to the editorial calendar.
- Own distribution for all content published in each month.
