This is a senior leadership role with broad ownership. You’ll work across games, franchises and creative formats—giving talented Creative Producers the context, trust and support to do their best work while building the strategies and systems that help us learn faster and raise the creative bar. You’ll partner closely with Marketing Leads, General Managers, Creative Leadership, game teams and global partners to decide where our creative can have the greatest impact.
About Creative Studio
Creative Studio is Supercell's in-house creative team, and this role sits at the heart of it. We're a small, cross-discipline group — Creative Producers, marketing artists, video artists, animators and AI pipeline specialists — embedded inside Marketing and working directly with game teams across the portfolio.
We're deliberately building capability in-house. Our animators, artists and editors sit close to the games, know the worlds intimately, and can go from idea to finished asset without a brief travelling through three companies first. External partners still matter — we work with agencies, production companies and specialist vendors for scale and specialist formats — but the strategy, the direction and the quality bar stay with us.
We're also early. Creative Studio was formed recently, and much of how it works is still being written. That's the opportunity in this role: you'll help decide how our internal talent is deployed, what we build ourselves versus buy, and what the operating model looks like as it matures.
Lead and develop the UA Creative team. Lead, coach and inspire Creative Producers working across both live and new games. Build an environment where people have the autonomy, context and support to make strong decisions, take ownership and grow into future production leaders.
Set the strategic direction for UA Creative. Own creative strategy across Supercell’s portfolio, developing playbooks, testing methodologies and repeatable frameworks that help teams identify opportunities, validate hypotheses and scale winning ideas.
Shape creative across the player journey. Guide strategies spanning gameplay-based creative, playable ads, cinematic animation, App Store Optimization (ASO), interactive experiences, social-first creative and emerging formats—from early concept testing and soft launch through global launch and LiveOps.
Own the UA Creative portfolio. Take a portfolio-wide view of investment across games, audiences, formats, channels and franchises. Help teams determine where to place ambitious creative bets, when to scale successful approaches and where experimentation can unlock something new.
Turn games into compelling creative ideas. Champion a deep understanding of gameplay systems, player motivations and game design. Help teams find the mechanics, emotions, and stories that authentically represent our games while creating entertaining, culturally relevant, and performance-driven work.
Drive prioritization and alignment. Partner with Marketing Leads, General Managers and Creative Leadership to connect UA Creative priorities with broader company and game objectives. Bring clarity when priorities compete, make thoughtful trade-offs and help teams stay focused on the opportunities with the greatest potential impact.
Build ways of working that scale. Continuously improve how UA Creative is planned, prioritised, reviewed and delivered. Create systems that enable teams to move quickly without lowering the creative bar, and make sure insights and learnings travel effectively between games and teams.
Find new ways to work across teams. Build the connections between Creative Studio, game teams, brand, ASO, franchise and our Animation Supervision team in Seoul. A lot of the biggest opportunities sit in the gaps between functions. Part of this role is spotting them and creating the working models that unlock them.
Get the most from our internal creative talent. Work with our marketing artists, video artists and animators to make sure internal craft is pointed at the work where it makes the biggest difference. Decide what we own in-house, where we bring in partners, and how the two fit together.
Build the pipelines behind the work. Creative capability isn't only people — it's the pipelines, tooling and asset systems that let a small team produce at scale. Partner with our AI pipeline specialists and creative technologists to build production workflows that speed up ideation, iteration and delivery, and make sure what we learn in one pipeline becomes something the whole studio can use.
Champion franchise quality. Work closely with our Animation Supervision team in Seoul, game teams and external partners to ensure acquisition creative strengthens each franchise’s identity while continuing to evolve with players, cultures and platforms.
Grow our creative ecosystem. Build strong relationships with agencies, production companies, AI partners and specialist vendors, using external expertise thoughtfully to complement our internal capabilities and expand what our teams can create. Over time, the goal is to do more of the highest-impact work in-house; with partners used for scale and specialist capability, not as a substitute of internal creative thinking.
Extensive experience leading User Acquisition Creative, creative strategy or marketing production within mobile gaming, entertainment or consumer technology.
A track record of leading, mentoring and developing high-performing Creative Producers, including helping others grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
Demonstrated success setting creative direction beyond an individual project or campaign, with the judgement to influence priorities and investment across multiple teams, games or products.
Experience building creative strategy frameworks, experimentation methodologies and scalable operating models that improve creative quality and marketing performance.
Strong knowledge of UA Creative across gameplay-based assets, playable ads, animation, ASO, social-first creative and emerging acquisition formats.
A deep understanding of mobile game design, player psychology and gameplay systems, and an ability to identify the mechanics and emotional hooks that can become compelling acquisition creative.
Experience supporting games across their lifecycle, from concept validation and new-game incubation through soft launch, global launch and long-term LiveOps.
Excellent judgement in ambiguous situations and the ability to prioritise across competing opportunities, stakeholders and business objectives without needing every decision prescribed.
Experience partnering with Marketing Leads, General Managers and senior cross-functional leaders, influencing strategy and creating alignment around significant creative decisions.
Experience collaborating effectively across globally distributed teams, animation studios and external creative partners.
A passion for building exceptional teams and creating the conditions for others to produce the best work of their careers.
Experience shaping UA Creative strategy across a portfolio of multiple games or globally recognized entertainment franchises.
Experience building or scaling an in-house creative team, including hands-on involvement in production pipelines, tooling, or asset systems.
Experience connecting creative experimentation with performance insights and using those learnings to influence broader marketing strategy.
Experience establishing new creative capabilities, workflows, or teams and evolving them as an organization scales.
A strong perspective on how AI, new production technologies, and emerging creative formats can expand creative possibilities while maintaining quality and franchise integrity.
You’ll help make UA Creative a strategic advantage for Supercell. Our Creative Producers will have the clarity and autonomy to make excellent decisions, our game teams will have a trusted creative partner, and learnings from one game will make the whole portfolio stronger.
You’ll raise our ambition while helping us make smart choices about where to focus. Success won’t simply mean producing more creative—it will mean building a team, strategy and operating model capable of consistently finding ideas that earn players’ attention and strengthen our games for the long term.
This role is based in Helsinki, Finland, at Supercell’s headquarters. You’ll work closely with teams and leaders across our global offices, including our Animation Supervision team in Seoul, as well as external creative partners around the world.
Because the role has portfolio-wide and global responsibilities, you should be comfortable collaborating across locations and time zones and travelling when being together in person will make the work better.
At Supercell, small teams are trusted with a lot of responsibility. For this role, that means having meaningful ownership over how UA Creative evolves across our games rather than simply executing a predefined playbook.
You’ll have the opportunity to build the team, challenge existing approaches, experiment with new ones and help decide where we place our biggest creative bets. We set a high bar, take risks, learn when things don’t work and share those learnings openly. And because the strongest ideas rarely belong to one person, you’ll be expected to lead with both conviction and humility—creating the conditions for talented people around you to succeed.
Ultimately, this role is about helping great teams make creative worthy of great games—and helping those games find players who may love them for years.

Supercell is a games company from Helsinki, Finland, with offices also in San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, and London. You might know us as the makers of Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars. Our mission is to create great games that as many people as possible play for years and that are remembered forever.
So, how do we make great games? By putting together the best teams and giving them the freedom and independence to succeed. And by taking risks, failing, sharing learnings, and killing lots of projects.
Independent cells and trust are at the core of our culture. But it takes more than that to make great games. We take good care of our people, providing them with the compensation, work environment, and resources they need to succeed while having fun along the way.
Here, you won’t need to focus on chasing titles or climbing ladders. Internally, our job titles don’t include prefixes like Senior, Junior, Principal, or Director. Recognition isn’t tied to your title, as it doesn't define the impact you can have around here.
Luring you in with glitter, glamour, and gems isn't what we're about. We want you to enjoy your time here fully, so we structure our compensation and benefits with that in mind. It starts with perceiving you as a human being, not a resource.
No matter where you’re moving from, our dedicated mobility team and partners will support you throughout your move. We’ll ensure the process is as smooth as possible for you and anyone joining you – whether they’re family members of the human or animal kind!
Many candidates with great skills and experience second-guess themselves. The bar is high, but if this role excites you, apply! We’re here to help you succeed. Also, we're happy to learn about any specific accommodations you may need to fully engage in our recruitment process.
Wishing you all the best,
The Supercell Recruitment team
