What you’ll be doing
At CIBC, we are on a mission to build the relationship-focused bank of the future and we are looking for self-identified First Nations, Metis and Inuit students to join our teams for co-op and internship opportunities.
This is a general applicant portal for Indigenous student talent (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) to apply to opportunities across our bank, it is not tied to one specific job or department, rather it is an opportunity to connect with us and discover where your talents fit at CIBC.
We’re more interested in who you are and not just your professional experience, so even if you don’t feel you’re “fully qualified”, have existing financial services knowledge or you’re just not sure about applying to work at a bank, we’d still love to hear from you! No matter what your strengths and experiences are, we invite you to submit a resume so we can get to know you and help you find your next opportunity at CIBC where you can thrive and grow.
Job opportunities across CIBC are as diverse as our employees and clients themselves; we hire folks from chemical engineers to art curators to work in all kinds of positions such as analysts, consultants, coordinators, leaders, frontline support and everything in between. CIBC offers a hugely diverse world of opportunity for you to learn and develop with us, along with a supportive and thoroughly modern workplace culture. Being a bank does not mean being stuck in a suit and tie, nor does it mean covering your true self when coming to work. At CIBC we encourage you to be your authentic self every day, which means tattoos, piercings and traditional hairstyles will never be discriminated against.
When you join CIBC as a student, you will be making a real difference for our clients, our team and our community. You will be using your strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills to assist our teams with a number of different projects and priorities.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
