About the role
We are a leading Swiss manufacturer of municipal vehicles based in Niederweningen (ZH) and part of the globally active Bucher Industries. With innovative solutions, we set international standards and continuously develop our products further — always with the goal of offering our customers worldwide real added value. What sets us apart: committed employees, short decision-making paths, and an open, hands-on company culture.
Do you want to do more than just write code — do you want to bring real machines to life? Then you've come to the right place. As a leading manufacturer of compact sweepers, we are developing the next generation of smart, electric, and sustainable special-purpose vehicles — and we're looking for you to make our systems even more intelligent. Here, you'll see directly what your code sets in motion: from the control system to the finished machine on the street.
Tasks
What awaits you
- You develop embedded software for real high-tech systems
- You work on electric drives and control systems in a growing future-oriented field
- You take ownership of your own topics or sub-projects
- You work closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and production teams and see the direct impact of your work
- You're part of a team that works pragmatically, quickly, and in a solution-oriented way
Your responsibilities
- Development and testing of embedded software for control systems, partly involving safety-relevant applications
- Creation of software designs, specifications, and test concepts
- Contributing to system concepts in the interplay of software, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Active participation in agile development processes (SCRUM), including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Coordination of sub-projects in close alignment with project management
Requirements
What you bring
- Technical training in automotive, electrical, or systems engineering, plus a degree from a university of applied sciences (FH) / ETH
- Experience in embedded software development as well as in measurement and control engineering
- Good knowledge of modern C / C++ programming
- Experience with Git — and ideally with functional safety (ISO 13849 / 26262)
- Experience with agile methods (SCRUM)
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Motivation to drive things forward and take responsibility
Benefits
After professional onboarding, we offer you a varied and challenging role in an exciting environment. You benefit from the strong performance of our own pension fund.
