About the Role
Based at our global headquarters in Munich, as a Management & Technology Consulting Manager / Director (internal title: Value Engineering Manager / Director) for CPG & Retail, you will hold full operational and leadership responsibility specifically for the CPG & Retail segment across the DACH region. In this role, you will lead a dedicated, high-performing team of 6–7 Value Engineers operating at the intersection of process transformation, executive consulting, and AI-driven product execution, driving the end-to-end customer value journey and accelerating enterprise AI adoption across major retail and consumer goods brands.
In this role, you will serve as a player-coach, actively guiding, coaching, and developing a talented, high-potential team with diverse backgrounds spanning supply chain, procurement, management consulting, and retail operations. This role offers tremendous growth potential as you both develop and learn alongside top-tier talent, while serving as a trusted advisor to C-level executives at major enterprise accounts.
Native-level German proficiency is required for this role. Candidates must be able to lead customer workshops, conduct executive presentations, and manage stakeholder interactions in German.
What Sets Our Patch Apart
The DACH CPG & Retail patch represents some of the world's most recognizable consumer brands, retail giants, and mobility innovators.
As our DACH CPG & Retail customers navigate complex global supply chains, omnichannel fulfillment challenges, and the rapid rise of Process Intelligence and Agentic AI, you will engage directly—in both German and English—with vocal customer champions, C-level decision-makers, and pioneering thought leaders shaping the future of retail and consumer goods innovation.

- People Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, lead, and mentor a team of 6–7 Munich-based Value Engineers. Maintain high standards through proactive coaching, performance management, and career progression planning.
- Executive Advisory & Player-Coach: Serve as a Celonis Executive Sponsor on critical DACH deals. Join your team in the field to lead high-impact executive meetings, dry runs, value sprints, and strategic transformation workshops.

- Ecosystem & Partner Strategy: Cultivate executive-level relationships across regional partner networks, services teams, and account executives to align CPG and retail customer strategies with Celonis AI solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Standardize and scale best practices, reusable solution blueprints, and CPG/Retail industry-specific frameworks internally and across external customer communities.
Leadership Behaviors We Value
- Deliver Business Outcomes: Focus on top- and bottom-line impact, maintaining green customer health and expanding retention across new logos and key enterprise accounts.

- Lead by Example: Embody the "player/coach" mentality, maintaining an active on-site presence with priority accounts and upholding strict quality standards across all engagements.
- Think BIG, Be BOLD: Champion an entrepreneurial growth mindset by expanding your internal/external network, spearheading new go-to-market motions, and positioning Celonis as an essential innovation driver in retail and consumer goods.
