About the Job
As Cloud Engineer – Deployment and Support within our Digital Technology Service Quality team, you will build, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure across Cloud — owning what you deploy from automated provisioning through to day-two operations. Ready to get started?
Based within Sanofi's Digital Technology organization, you'll sit at the heart of our digital transformation — delivering secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure that powers business-critical applications for thousands of users worldwide. This role reports into the Service Quality team and directly enables Sanofi's mission of chasing the miracles of science.
About Sanofi
Sanofi is dedicated to supporting people through their health challenges. We are a global biopharmaceutical company focused on human health, committed to chasing the miracles of science to improve people's lives. Our team, across some 100 countries, is dedicated to transforming the practice of medicine by working to turn the impossible into the possible. We provide potentially life-changing treatment options and life-saving vaccine protection to millions of people globally, while putting sustainability and social responsibility at the center of our ambitions
At Sanofi, we believe our people are our greatest strength, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives drive innovation. Our values — Aim Higher, Act for Patients, Be Bold, and Lead Together — guide everything we do
Main responsibilities
- Deploy and operate enterprise infrastructure across AWS and Azure — landing zones, virtual networks, compute, containers (Kubernetes), databases, storage, and PaaS components — from requirement through to validated production handover
- Automate everything using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet), ensuring deployments are repeatable, version-controlled, and auditable
- Own incident and problem management — provide L2/L3 support, drive down MTTR through structured troubleshooting and runbooks, and contribute to Root Cause Analysis for high-impact issues
- Execute and govern change — raise, plan, and represent infrastructure changes at the Change Advisory Board (CAB), with full risk assessment and rollback procedures
- Build observability — onboard CIs into Datadog and Splunk, define meaningful alerts, and build dashboards that give clear visibility of infrastructure health
- Champion security and compliance — enforce hardening baselines, least-privilege access, patch compliance, and vulnerability remediation SLAs across all supported infrastructure
About You
- Experience: Substantial hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise infrastructure in large-scale, global, multi-vendor environments; regulated industry background (pharma, life sciences) is a plus
- Cloud skills: Proficiency in AWS or Azure across computer, networking, storage, identity, and PaaS; hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
- Automation tooling: Terraform (preferred), Ansible or equivalent; scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash; CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- ITSM & observability: ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB); strong ITIL/ITSM knowledge; Datadog and Splunk experience
- Soft skills: Ownership mindset, calm under pressure, rigorous around change control, clear communicator across technical and business audiences
- Languages: English required; additional languages a plus
Why choose us?
- Global scale — your infrastructure directly enables Sanofi's life-changing medicines to reach patients worldwide
- AI-enabled operations — be part of the shift from reactive to proactive, intelligent infrastructure management
- Automation-first culture — we value engineers who eliminate toil and build for the long term
- Collaborative environment — work alongside Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, and Cloud Engineering teams
- Mission-driven impact — every deployment supports Sanofi's purpose of chasing the miracles of science
