Our GreenStreet™ platform connects streetlights, cabinet controllers, gateways and sensors to the cloud. It enables customers to monitor their installations, configure lighting, collect data and identify maintenance needs remotely. Demand for intelligent lighting solutions is increasing as cities work to reduce energy consumption, emissions and environmental impact.

We are now looking for a mid-level or senior full-stack software developer to join the team responsible for developing and operating the GreenStreet cloud platform.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend services and web interfaces
• Develop APIs, integrations and data flows from connected devices through the platform to the user interface
• Build and improve intuitive user workflows
• Contribute to the modernization of existing applications and service
• Take shared responsibility for software quality, security and reliability, from development and testing to deployment and operation
• Investigate and resolve technical problems across the platform
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and documentation of important technical decisions
• Collaborate with colleagues working on embedded software, gateways and cloud infrastructure
• Share knowledge and contribute to improving the team’s ways of working

Skills and experience

You are an experienced software developer who enjoys understanding complete systems. You are comfortable working in an existing platform while helping it evolve over time.

You bring:

• Several years of professional software development experience, including backend and frontend
• Backend development experience, preferably using Java
• Frontend experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a framework such as React
• Experience developing REST APIs and system integration
• A good understanding of databases and data modelling
• Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are a plus
• Experience with some of the following is valuable:
• Docker and Kubernetes
• PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB
• MQTT and event-driven systems
• Keycloak, OAuth2 or OpenID Connect

What we are looking for

We believe you are:

• Curious and interested in understanding the complete product
• Comfortable contributing to both backend and frontend development
• Interested in creating intuitive user experiences
• Pragmatic and able to balance new development with improvements to existing systems
• Comfortable taking responsibility and working with a high degree of trust
• Willing to ask questions, share knowledge and help your colleagues
• Motivated by delivering maintainable solutions that create customer value

What we offer

• The opportunity to develop products that make a difference for cities, people and the environment
• An important role in the continued development of GreenStreet
• A collaborative and international working environment
• A team with experienced and supportive colleagues
• The opportunity to influence technical decisions and our future architecture
• A workplace built around trust, responsibility and continuous learning
