The opportunity

IQVIA Language Solutions is building the multilingual operating layer for global life sciences—bringing together healthcare intelligence, AI-enabled workflows, specialist human expertise and the reach of IQVIA. We are moving beyond traditional translation to help customers manage critical content safely and efficiently across clinical, regulatory, safety, patient and commercial workflows.

Join a growing, entrepreneurial commercial team and build your career in an industry where language, technology and healthcare come together. With IQVIA’s credibility, global reach and scientific expertise behind you, you will learn how to open new relationships, understand customer needs and help shape solutions that make a meaningful difference.

As Business Development Specialist, you will be an energetic and proactive member of the commercial team, focused on creating new opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CRO and healthcare customers. You will research target accounts, connect with prospective customers, qualify interest and support opportunities as they progress through the sales process. This is a hands-on role for someone who is curious, motivated and excited to learn.

What you will do

• Research target companies, market segments and key stakeholders to identify potential opportunities.
• Generate interest through thoughtful outbound outreach, campaigns, networking and follow-up.
• Qualify prospective customers by learning about their needs, priorities and current approach to multilingual content.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline, keeping customer and opportunity information accurate in the CRM.
• Schedule and support introductory meetings, discovery discussions, presentations and follow-up activities.
• Work with senior business development colleagues to progress qualified opportunities through the sales process.
• Help prepare account plans, proposals, presentations and other customer-facing materials.
• Develop a strong understanding of IQVIA Language Solutions, our customers and the life sciences workflows we support.
• Collaborate with Presales, Account Management, Marketing, Delivery and other IQVIA teams to create a positive customer experience.
• Bring energy, ideas and market feedback to a fast-evolving commercial team.

What success looks like

• A growing pipeline of well-researched, qualified opportunities.
• Consistent prospecting activity that creates meetings and meaningful customer conversations.
• Accurate CRM records, organized follow-up and dependable support for the wider commercial team.
• Increasing confidence in communicating IQVIA Language Solutions’ value to life sciences customers.

What you bring

• Early-career experience in business development, sales, account management, customer service or another commercial role; experience in healthcare, life sciences, language services, localization or B2B services is helpful but not essential.
• Genuine enthusiasm for building relationships, starting conversations and creating new business opportunities.
• Curiosity about healthcare, languages, technology and AI, with a strong desire to learn.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, organized approach and the persistence to follow through.
• Comfort working toward activity goals and commercial targets in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to ask questions, seek feedback and learn from experienced colleagues.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools is helpful.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Why join IQVIA Language Solutions?

You will join at a pivotal point: the team is growing its commercial organization, expanding into new life sciences workflows and building a more connected, technology-enabled portfolio. You will receive exposure to experienced commercial and delivery colleagues, a broad range of customers and the scale and capabilities of IQVIA—all while developing practical skills in prospecting, consultative selling and life sciences.

If you are energetic, curious and excited by the opportunity to build relationships, learn quickly and contribute to a growing business with global reach, we would like to hear from you.
