About the role
The Opportunity:
Every day, many of the world's largest companies buy the goods they run on through procurement systems like SAP Ariba, Coupa, and Jaggaer. TradeCentric is the connectivity layer that makes that possible, linking B2B suppliers and their eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce, Adobe Commerce, OroCommerce, BigCommerce) directly to their buyers' eProcurement systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP). When suppliers connect through TradeCentric, they become easier to buy from, and they win more business.
As a Mid-Market Business Development Representative, you will be the first conversation many of these suppliers have with us. You will open doors at Mid-Market and Enterprise organizations, uncover real business problems, and create the qualified new-logo pipeline that fuels TradeCentric's growth.
Reporting to the BDR Manager, you will work as part of a win team with Account Executives and Solution Engineers, using the Same Side Selling methodology to hand AEs well-qualified Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) that turn into real deals.

Reporting to the BDR Manager, you will work as part of a win team with Account Executives and Solution Engineers, using the Same Side Selling methodology to hand AEs well-qualified Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) that turn into real deals.
Why You'll Love This Role
- A real path to closing deals. A defined BDR-to-AE promotion path, plus pathways into Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or Sales Leadership.
- Coaching that makes you better. Structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, and call reviews in Gong from leaders invested in your growth.
- Modern, signal-based selling. You will work from intent data, trigger events, and AI research tools, not cold lists.
- A seat at the table. You will join territory planning and account strategy sessions with AEs and Solution Engineers from day one.
- Enterprise sales skills that last. You will learn to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals across Mid-Market and Enterprise organizations.

What You'll Do:
Hunt with Signals, Not Guesswork
- Run signal-based, account-based outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn, video) into targeted ICP Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts.
- Use intent data, trigger events, and AI research tools to find the right accounts at the right moment.
- Research target personas (procurement, IT, eCommerce and digital leaders) and deliver messaging that speaks to their world.
- Jump on inbound and partner leads quickly while building your own self-sourced pipeline.
- Execute and help sharpen the sequences and messaging in the BDR playbook.
Qualify Like a Consultant
- Lead discovery using Same Side Selling, uncovering prospects' desired results, issues, and business impact early.
- Assess fit against TradeCentric's Ideal Customer Profile.
- Advance leads from MQL to SQL to SQO against the playbook's qualification criteria.
- Deliver clean, well-documented SQL handoffs that set AEs up to win.
Win as a Team
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Solution Engineers on account strategy and opportunity progression.
- Revive stalled opportunities by uncovering blockers, finding new stakeholders, and restoring deal momentum.
- Join territory planning and account mapping sessions.
- Bring market, prospect, and competitive insights back to your manager and Sales leadership.
Own Your Pipeline
- Track activity, stages, contact data, and disqualification reasons accurately in Salesforce and Gong.
- Share weekly updates on SQOs against target and progression on all MQLs.
- Work in a modern stack: Salesloft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI research and prospecting tools.
How You'll Win
Success here is simple and visible. You are measured on one number:
- SQOs generated, by count, against monthly and quarterly targets.
We also look at SQL to SQO conversion rate, the share of your SQLs that AEs accept as SQOs, because quality matters as much as volume.
With structured onboarding and coaching, you will reach full SQO productivity within 90 days of hire.
What It Takes to Excel:
- 1 to 3 years of outbound BDR or SDR experience, B2B SaaS or technology preferred.
- A track record of meeting or beating pipeline targets.
- Experience prospecting into multi-stakeholder, technically complex sales.
- Confidence on the phone, with strong objection handling.
- A clear, concise communication style that uncovers business challenges and articulates value.
- Strong CRM discipline, Salesforce experience preferred.
- AI fluency, using generative AI and signal data tools to research smarter and prospect faster.
- The organization to prioritize competing activities without dropping the ball.
- A goal-oriented, positive, self-starting mindset with strong analytical skills and a record of ownership.
- Energy for a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Bonus points for
- Exposure to eCommerce, eProcurement, iPaaS, or data integration technology.
- Experience with Salesloft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Training in Same Side Selling or a similar consultative methodology.
