Business Control Intern

About the role

As our Business Control Intern, you’ll join the Finance team and work closely with the Business Controller. You’ll help leadership understand how the business is doing and where it’s going. As part of your work, you’ll handle monthly reporting on our financial performance and prepare the board deck for the management team. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, and you’ll also help us rethink how Finance works by automating manual steps with AI.

Why DataSnipper?

We believe trust is essential to how society works. Every day, we rely on information that's been independently verified, from financial statements to the products we buy, to the sustainability claims companies make. Behind that trust are audit and finance professionals who examine evidence, verify information and hold organizations accountable.

At DataSnipper, we build AI solutions that empower those professionals to make those judgements. With Alwin by DataSnipper, our new agentic platform, AI agents now take on end-to-end audit and finance procedures, while every conclusion stays traceable to its source. That frees professionals to focus on the judgment and expertise that make their work so important.

We're trusted by Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and all Big Four audit firms. Today, more than 600,000 professionals across 3,000+ organizations in 175 countries rely on our platform, and in 2025 alone DataSnipper delivered more than $1.4 billion in productivity savings to its customers.

Backed by a $100 million Series B led by Index Ventures, at a $1 billion valuation, we've built a strong foundation for what's next. And as proud members of 1% for the Planet, we care about how we grow, not just how fast.

In this role, you will:

• Monitor business performance and report on key financial and operational metrics (with a focus on ARR growth)

• Perform variance analysis between forecasts and actuals, and explain what’s driving the gaps

• Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including the board deck for the management team

• Help the Business Controller gather inputs for forecasts, making sure the data is accurate and relevant

• Work closely with the team on projects that drive business growth, profitability and operational excellence

• Streamline and automate existing processes using the AI tools available to you

Who you are:

• You’re a student pursuing a Master’s in Finance or Accounting, with a strong academic track record

• You’re comfortable in Excel and enjoy building clean, reliable models and reports

• You’re AI-forward. You already use AI tools to speed up data pulls and reporting, and you’re always looking for the next manual step to automate

• You’re detail-oriented and organized, and you double-check numbers before they reach leadership

• You’re curious: you ask “why” behind the numbers and want to learn how a SaaS business works

What We Offer

• Internship duration: 6 months

• Being part of one of the fastest-growing SaaS scale-ups in the Netherlands.

• International and collaborative work environment.

• Delicious daily lunch prepared fresh by our chef in the Amsterdam office.

• Fun team events and social activities.
